Young Sohn is the Founding Managing Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures and is based in Silicon Valley, California. Previously, he served as Corporate President and Chief Strategy Officer at Samsung Electronics from 2012 to 2021, where he established the Samsung Catalyst Fund. His executive background includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of Inphi, leading the company to a 2010 initial public offering, and holding presidential roles at Agilent Semiconductor and Quantum. He currently holds board positions at Arm and Cadence Design Systems, while serving as Chairman of HARMAN International and the Samsung Semiconductor Advisory Board. Through Walden Catalyst's $550 million inaugural fund, he directs early-stage capital into technology startups, building on prior seed investments in companies like Zoom Video and Ring.
