Yoshiharu Mizui

Yoshiharu Mizui is the President of Eisai Innovation, the corporate venture capital arm of Japanese pharmaceutical company Eisai, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He brings nearly thirty years of life sciences experience in drug discovery and strategic business development, having originally started his career as a biologist in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at Eisai in 1990. From 2011 to 2016, he served as a founding member and led the oncology program at H3 Biomedicine before transitioning to Global Head of Business Development and Strategy for the Oncology Business Group at Eisai until 2019. Mizui earned a doctorate in Agricultural Chemistry from Kyushu University and recently joined the Board of Directors at SEED Therapeutics in September 2024. His current professional focus centers on directing global biotechnology investments and advancing emerging therapeutic modalities in both the oncology and neurology sectors.
