Yoshi Yokokawa is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alpaca, an API-driven brokerage infrastructure platform based in New York City, New York. Under his leadership, the fintech company has raised over $100 million in total funding, including a $15 million Series C extension in March 2023, and secured strategic backing from notable investors like Stripe. The platform currently serves more than 100,000 developers globally and has processed over $10 billion in traded assets. Before launching Alpaca, Yokokawa worked as a Vice President specializing in securitized products at Lehman Brothers and Nomura. He eventually left Wall Street to become a full-time day trader and establish two distinct deep-learning and enterprise software startups. His current focus centers on expanding embedded finance capabilities and providing scalable brokerage APIs to international markets across Europe and Asia.
