Yorai Fainmesser

Yorai Fainmesser is a General Partner at Disruptive AI, an early-stage venture capital fund established in 2021 that specializes in artificial intelligence investments. Before entering the venture capital sector, he served for 20 years in the Israel Defense Forces, ultimately retiring as a Colonel and Head of the military's AI and Data Science Unit. During his extensive tenure in the elite Unit 8200, Fainmesser led cybersecurity research and special operations while founding STARGATE, the national computer vision laboratory. He additionally established the Predictive Intelligence Lab, an advanced analytics initiative that earned the annual Israel Defense Prize in 2018. Fainmesser currently serves on multiple portfolio company boards, offering technical execution mentoring to early-stage startup founders. His current focus centers on bridging defense-grade artificial intelligence innovation with commercial enterprise markets and international policy frameworks through the OECD.
