Yoh-Chie LU

Yoh-Chie Lu is currently a Venture Partner at Vertex Ventures HC, where he focuses on investments across the medical device, biotechnology, and digital health sectors. He previously founded Biosensors International Group, serving as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman while leading the development of interventional cardiology products like the BioMatrix Flex stent. With a career spanning over 40 years in the industry since 1977, Lu also served as President for the Medical Division of Gould and British Oxygen, guiding the entity to a Nasdaq initial public offering through a leveraged buyout. Additionally, he acts as Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer at Peregrine Ophthalmic, lectures at Stanford University Biodesign, and has served on the National Research Foundation since 2016. His current focus centers on leveraging his extensive operational background to scale emerging healthcare and biopharmaceutical enterprises.
