Yinka Elujoba is an art critic for The New York Times and an independent writer based in Brooklyn, New York. He began his professional writing career in 2010 after earning an engineering degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, later completing a Master of Fine Arts in Art Writing at the School of Visual Arts in 2020. That same year, Elujoba co-founded A Long House, a literary initiative, and he has since published essays in prominent publications including Harper's Magazine. His critical work has earned him several notable financial accolades, such as the 2021 Rabkin Prize and a 2023 grant from the Andy Warhol Foundation, while his 2016 chapbook, Collective Truth, is currently held in the permanent Smithsonian Institution collection. Elujoba maintains a primary focus on visual arts criticism and trans-African cultural projects across various editorial platforms.
