Yinglan Tan

Yinglan Tan is the Founding Managing Partner and CEO of Insignia Ventures Partners, an early and growth venture capital firm based in Singapore. Under his leadership, the firm manages $1.1 billion in assets and has invested in over 90 technology companies across the region. Prior to founding Insignia in 2017, Tan served as the first hire and Venture Partner at Sequoia Capital in Southeast Asia, where he sourced early investments in notable technology enterprises such as GoTo and Appier. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and holds degrees from prominent engineering programs. His current investment portfolio features several regional unicorns operating in diverse digital industries. Tan focuses primarily on identifying and scaling emerging technology ventures within the fintech, logistics, and electronic commerce sectors across the Southeast Asian market.
