Yigit Ihlamur

Yigit Ihlamur is a General Partner and founder at Vela Partners, where he leads Ventech engineering efforts. Prior to founding the venture firm, he worked in Google's Cloud division in Mountain View. During his tenure at the technology company, he focused on product management, strategy, operations, and partnerships, following an earlier role in Dublin managing technical operations for G Suite. He holds a master's degree in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning from the University of Oxford, alongside an industrial engineering degree from Koç University. At Vela Partners, Ihlamur targets early-stage investments across the pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages, typically writing check sizes ranging from $500,000 to $1 million. His current investment focus centers on artificial intelligence, robotics, developer tools, automation, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software as a service.
