Yasushi Komori

Yasushi Komori is a General Partner at GFR Fund currently based in Frisco, Texas. He originally joined the venture capital firm in July 2016 and was formally promoted to his current leadership position alongside fellow General Partner Teppei Tsutsui in June 2022. In this capacity, he directs early-stage investments across the consumer technology, digital media, and entertainment sectors, managing portfolio allocations spanning North America, Europe, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia. Prior to his transition into venture capital, Komori held senior product management and data analysis roles at the Japanese gaming and internet enterprise GREE, Inc. and its subsidiary GREE International. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Waseda University. His professional background combines extensive operational experience in the mobile gaming industry with a global investment mandate focused on emerging consumer technologies.
