Yancey Strickler is a General Partner at the micro-VC firm Every and is based in Brooklyn, New York. He previously co-founded Kickstarter alongside Perry Chen, serving as the crowdfunding platform's Chief Executive Officer from 2009 to 2017. During his executive tenure, he oversaw a platform that facilitated over $7 billion in pledges across more than 20 million projects, while also serving as a board member for Medium. Strickler transitioned to venture capital by joining Every in 2021, where he now helps manage approximately $20 million across a portfolio of over 100 early-stage investments. The author of the 2019 book "This Could Be Our Future," he recently spoke on ethical investing at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. His current investment focus centers on early-stage technology startups operating within creative tools, digital media, climate tech, and mission-driven sectors.
