Wilson Kyi

Wilson Kyi is currently a Partner at Basis Set Ventures, where he focuses on investments in vertical artificial intelligence applications. Previously, he held operational roles at Square under the leadership of Jack Dorsey, where he scaled growth and retention initiatives and developed an internal marketing product for over two million customers processing $50 billion in payments. Kyi also served as a founding member of DiDi's global food delivery division, scaling the unit to hundreds of millions in gross bookings, and worked as a General Manager at Travis Kalanick's CloudKitchens to drive retail expansion through acquisitions. Outside of his primary investment activities, he hosts the Fish Sauce podcast, which highlights the experiences of Asian American founders and investors. His current focus centers on backing top builders from leading research labs to cultivate specialized talent networks within the artificial intelligence sector.
