William Tunstall-Pedoe is a General Partner at Amadeus Capital Partners based in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. Before transitioning to the venture capital sector in 2022, he founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of two artificial intelligence startups that resulted in major corporate acquisitions. His first company, Interactive Digital Assistant, was acquired by Microsoft in 2011, and his subsequent venture, Evi, was purchased by Apple in 2015. Holding a PhD in artificial intelligence from the University of Cambridge, he leverages his early career background in computational linguistics to evaluate emerging technologies. He currently manages a portfolio of over 20 early-stage technology companies and recently led a $90 million Series C investment in the UK-based artificial intelligence startup Synthesia.
