William Rosenzweig

William Rosenzweig is the Faculty Co-Chair of the Sustainable Food Initiative and Continuing Professional Faculty at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, based in Healdsburg, California. He previously co-founded The Republic of Tea in the early 1990s, served as Senior Vice President at Odwalla, and worked as the chief executive officer of a local wine and vineyard group. Rosenzweig also co-founded the Global Social Venture Competition, an initiative that operated across 45 university campuses for 20 years in partnership with Columbia Business School and London Business School. As an investor mentored by the financier Bill Hambrecht, he co-founded a venture capital fund dedicated to backing challenger brands across the food, health, wellness, and climate sectors. His career centers on bridging business innovation with purpose-driven impact through social entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture, and early-stage impact investing.
