William Hu

William Hu is a Product Engineer on the Applied AI team at Anthropic, where he partners with early-stage startup customers to build new applications and advance frontier models. Before joining Anthropic, he founded RiskAngle, a Y Combinator-backed startup from the S24 batch that developed artificial intelligence platforms for medical chronologies and record summaries. Hu successfully scaled the software company to serve insurance providers and law firms before selling the business in late 2025. Previously, he managed the connector platform at Retool, leading the engineering development and launch of Retool AI, Retool API, and Retool Storage. His earlier career includes multiple product roles at Robinhood, where he focused on user referrals, promotional campaigns, and cryptocurrency features. Today, Hu maintains a primary focus on applied artificial intelligence, developer tools, and product engineering within the financial and technology sectors.
