William Faulkner

William Faulkner serves as a Managing Partner at Faulkner Capital Management, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Prior to founding the investment firm in 2018, he spent eight years working as a Principal at Sequoia Capital, where he successfully managed a $450 million enterprise software fund. His earlier professional background includes senior corporate development roles at Google and strategic management consulting at McKinsey and Company, specifically focusing on large-scale technology acquisitions. Over his 15-year institutional investment career, Faulkner has directed Series A and Series B funding rounds for more than 35 distinct technology startups, ultimately achieving 12 successful public and private portfolio exits. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University and currently focuses his primary investment strategy on scaling emerging artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure ventures.
