William Chu

William Chu is a Venture Partner at SparkLabs Global Ventures and the Managing Partner of SparkLabs FinTech, based in Hong Kong, China. Before joining the SparkLabs organization, he served as an Executive Director at Zheng He Capital from 2014 to 2016 and spent thirteen years as President of Lawman Group International. During his tenure at Zheng He Capital, Chu spearheaded lead investments in major technology firms, including a $500 million Series A round for Ping An Good Doctor and a $1.2 billion Series B round for Lufax. He also co-founded SparkLabs Saudi Arabia, where he currently leads the AIM AI Fund, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. His current investment focus centers on early-stage technology startups operating within the artificial intelligence, financial technology, smart city, and health technology sectors across multiple global markets.
