Willemijn Verloop is a Founding Partner at Rubio Impact Ventures and an Advisor on the Impact Committee at Anterra Capital, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Before entering venture capital, she founded the non-governmental organization War Child in 1995, scaling the entity over 15 years to provide psychosocial care to hundreds of thousands of children in conflict zones. Verloop also established Social Enterprise NL in 2011 and recently served as the Chair of the Netherlands Advisory Board on Impact Investing until August 2024. At Rubio Impact Ventures, she helped raise a €70 million fund to back sustainable startups, building a portfolio that includes companies like Sympower, NoPalm, and OpenUp. Educated at Leiden University and the University of Amsterdam, her current focus centers on impact investing and venture capital strategies that align economic growth with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
