Will Wells

Will Wells is a Venture Partner at firstminute capital and the $500 million multi-stage fund Norrsken, focusing on climate, artificial intelligence, and deep tech investments. Previously, he founded Hummingbird Technologies, a space-based regenerative agriculture monitoring company that raised $25 million and grew to 65 employees before he co-founded the indoor robotics firm Black Barn Labs. His earlier financial career includes serving as a buyside investor at Highlander, a $6 billion global hedge fund, where he contributed to technology and renewable energy strategies. Wells has completed 30 mergers and acquisitions, made over 25 angel investments, and holds an MBA from INSEAD alongside a First Class Honours degree from the University of Edinburgh. He has advised organizations such as the European Space Agency and the Alan Turing Institute, maintaining a primary focus on scaling early-stage agricultural and climate technology ventures.
