Will Thomsen

Will Thomsen is a Partner at Abstract Ventures, a seed-focused venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Since joining the firm in January 2020, he has led the software development of a proprietary alternative data platform and directed pre-seed and seed investments ranging from $250,000 to $750,000 across the fintech, entertainment, and developer tools sectors. Previously, he served as a Vice President at Core Innovation Capital from 2017 to 2019, where he concentrated on financial technology and insurtech investments. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Raymond James Financial between 2008 and 2011 before operating as the technical co-founder of Tellur, Inc. and the founder of Vegas Hotel Hunt. Thomsen currently leverages his combined background in investment banking, technical entrepreneurship, and alternative data architecture to execute data-driven early-stage venture capital strategies.
