Will Porteous

Will Porteous is the General Partner and Chief Operating Officer at RRE Ventures in the United States. Since joining the firm in 2000, he has accumulated over 25 years of experience investing in early-stage technology companies across the artificial intelligence, enterprise software, fintech, and global aerospace sectors. Porteous currently serves as the Chairman of BlackSky and the Lead Director of Spire, while holding additional board seats at Paperless Post, Nanit, and Ursa. He previously served as a director for BuzzFeed and spent 15 years as an adjunct professor of venture capital at Columbia Business School from 2003 to 2018. His academic background includes an MBA from Harvard University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA from Stanford University. His current focus remains on directing capital toward technological breakthroughs that redefine the geospatial and artificial intelligence industries.
