Will Oberndorf

Will Oberndorf is the Executive Chairman of Oberndorf Enterprises LLC and Chair of the UCSF Foundation, based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing his family office, he founded the investment firm SPO Partners in 1989, building a multi-decade career in institutional investment management that contributed to his current billionaire wealth status. He earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1978 and a BA from Williams College in 1975. Throughout his career, Oberndorf has held corporate board positions at public companies such as Calpine and Voyager Learning Company, while also directing significant capital toward conservative political causes, including a $2 million donation to Mitch McConnell's political action committee.
