Will Ma is the Senior Director of Investments at the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund in Canada, where he focuses on the regional innovation ecosystem. Previously, he served as the Director of Technology Banking at Silicon Valley Bank and the Head of Finance and Operations at Validere. During his tenure at Validere, an energy data analytics firm, he successfully led a Series B funding round backed by prominent institutional investors including BlackRock and Greylock Partners. His prior entrepreneurial experience includes co-founding a Y Combinator-backed enterprise SaaS startup focused on investor relations marketing, following early career financial roles at BMO Financial Group and TD Securities Inc.
