Wilber Palenque

Wilber Palenque is a Principal at Avalancha Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Mexico City, Mexico. He helps manage a 20-person team investing initial tickets ranging from $50,000 to $300,000 into Latin American technology startups within the financial technology, energy, messaging, and payments sectors. His activities involve evaluating companies aged four to five years and supporting a portfolio that includes health technology firm Unima, which secured a $2 million seed investment, and Salud Cercana. Palenque collaborates alongside firm partners Rodrigo Ocejo and Lorenzo Garza, frequently co-investing with recognized entities like IGNIA and the Google Launchpad Accelerator. Prior to assuming his current position, he gained professional experience working at Toushka. Today, his primary focus remains on deploying early-stage capital and providing strategic portfolio support to emerging technology founders across the Mexican market.
