Walid Mahd

Walid Mahd is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Moreta, a financial technology enterprise focused on developing infrastructure solutions within the global digital payments sector. Prior to establishing Moreta, he worked as a specialized card and fintech payments consultant at Mastercard Advisors, where he advised institutional clients on emerging payment strategies and digital transformation initiatives. Mahd completed his undergraduate education at the Ivey Business School, earning an Honors Business Administration degree in general management. Outside of his primary corporate endeavors, he is an extensive global traveler who has independently backpacked through more than 30 distinct countries across Europe, Southeast and Eastern Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. His current professional focus remains entirely centered on leveraging his institutional consulting background to build scalable payment technologies and advance the broader financial technology ecosystem.
