Wale Ayeni

Wale Ayeni is the Managing Partner and Co-head of Helios Digital Ventures, where he leads venture capital investments in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and fintech across Africa. Prior to this role, he served as the Head of Direct Venture Capital Investments at the International Finance Corporation, establishing the firm's African venture practice and managing a portfolio exceeding $2.5 billion. His earlier career includes executing over $12 billion in technology transactions as an investment banker at JP Morgan, as well as working as a microprocessor design engineer at Intel and Qualcomm. Ayeni holds an MBA from Dartmouth College and currently serves on the boards of technology companies including BOLT, TradeDepot, and TwigaFoods. He combines nearly two decades of technical and financial expertise to identify and fund Series B+ stage technology startups operating within emerging frontier markets.
