VS Kannan Sitaram

VS Kannan Sitaram is the Co-Founder and Partner at Fireside Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on the consumer sector. Prior to transitioning to venture capital, he accumulated over three decades of executive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, holding senior leadership roles such as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Unilever and Chief Operating Officer at Dabur. He also served as the National Sales Head and Marketing Head at Hindustan Lever, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Innovative Foods. In his current capacity, Sitaram manages investments across more than six portfolio companies and holds board seats at startups including Traya, Inito, and Smytten, while backing notable brands like MamaEarth and YogaBar. His current focus centers on funding direct-to-consumer startups that leverage quick commerce channels to reach Gen Z consumer demographics.
