Volker Berl

Volker Berl is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Executive Officer of New Age Ventures, a venture studio based in New York. Before establishing his current firm, he served as Vice President of Equity Research for Pharmaceuticals at Deutsche Bank in 2006 and worked in global new business development at BASF AG from 2002 to 2005. Operating as a serial investor and venture builder since 2009, Berl currently holds multiple active board directorships, including independent positions at Standard Lithium Ltd, Gaussin SA, and Artract Medical Inc. His extensive academic credentials include a Master of Science degree from ETH Zurich, a doctorate in supramolecular chemistry from the University of Strasbourg, and postdoctoral research at Stanford University. Berl's current investment and advisory focus spans healthcare, medical devices, climate and clean technology, applied artificial intelligence, and early-stage deep tech startups.
