Vivek Krishnamurthy

Vivek Krishnamurthy is a Partner at Commerce Ventures, where he has spent over eight years investing in early-stage financial technology and insurance technology companies. In his current role, he works closely with venture portfolio startups such as Bureau, Canary Technologies, Mudflap, and Zentist. Previously, he served as a member of the investment banking team at Financial Technology Partners, advising on approximately $1 billion in private capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings. During his tenure in investment banking, he executed major transactions involving prominent firms including GreenSky, which was acquired by Goldman Sachs, and Marqeta. Earlier in his career, he held analytical roles in credit portfolio management at GE Capital and airplane economics at Boeing. Krishnamurthy currently focuses on identifying tech-first opportunities where financial and insurance technologies intersect with other core business verticals.
