Vítor Lourenco

Vítor Lourenço is a Founding Partner at Expa, an early-stage venture capital firm and startup studio. He is widely recognized as the first designer at Twitter, where he played a foundational role in shaping the social media platform's initial user interface and overall product experience. Since helping establish Expa in 2013, Lourenço has launched dozens of companies and supported more than fifty founders, contributing to technology products that have reached hundreds of millions of active users within a broader professional network connected to Uber. In addition to his primary venture capital operations, he has served as a Creative Advisor at AERO since 2018 and recently joined Layer as a Lead Investor and Advisor in 2024. Lourenço currently focuses on providing strategic design expertise and early-stage capital to high-growth technology startups operating across the global industry.
