Vinit Nijhawan is the Managing Director at MassVentures and an academic lecturer based in the Greater Boston area. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he has served as the CEO of five venture backed technology companies and founded multiple enterprise software startups. Prior to his current investment role, Nijhawan was the Director of Enterprise Programs at Boston University, where he managed technology commercialization and taught entrepreneurship at the Questrom School of Business. He previously worked as a Venture Partner at Key Venture Partners, participating in the deployment of a $200 million fund, and earned his engineering degree from the University of Waterloo. Additionally, he has served as an advisor to the National Science Foundation and holds several patents. His professional focus remains on early stage venture capital, academic technology transfer, and scaling deep technology startups across Massachusetts.
