Vincent Gros

Vincent Gros is the current President of BASF Venture Capital, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. He previously served as President of BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division, where he oversaw an €879 million research and development budget in 2019 and managed an innovation pipeline with a projected peak sales potential exceeding €7.5 billion by 2029. During his tenure in the agricultural sector, Gros facilitated a strategic joint venture between BASF and Bosch to develop advanced digital farming solutions under the xarvio brand. In his current venture capital role, he directs an evergreen fund of approximately €250 million, maintaining an active portfolio of 49 startup companies that includes targeted investments in LanzaTech, DePoly, and Oceanworks. His extensive executive career centers on corporate venture investing and strategic initiatives targeting global sustainability, crop protection, digitization, and breakthrough chemical technologies.
