Vikram Bajaj

Vikram Bajaj is the Managing Director at Foresite Capital, Co-founder and CEO of Foresite Labs, and Co-CEO of Project Prometheus, based in San Francisco, California. In November 2025, he partnered with Jeff Bezos to launch Project Prometheus, an initiative backed by $6.2 billion in funding. Previously, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Verily, Alphabet's life sciences division, and later held the Chief Scientific Officer position at GRAIL before its acquisition by Illumina. Through Foresite Labs, he has incubated five companies and co-founded Xaira Therapeutics in January 2023 to advance artificial intelligence in drug discovery. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine and holds board seats at Genomics England and Quantum-Si. His career focuses on the intersection of data science, genomics, and precision medicine to accelerate biotechnology development.
