Vijit Sabnis

Vijit Sabnis is a Venture Partner at 1955 Capital and the Co-Founder of a stealth technology company. Prior to his current roles, he served as a Partner at Khosla Ventures from 2015 to 2019, where he directed early-stage investments across deep technology sectors including biotechnology, additive manufacturing, and photonics. As an operator, he previously co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Solar Junction, leading the commercial development of advanced solar cells that earned a 2012 R&D 100 Award. Sabnis holds four patents and has authored more than fifteen publications, drawing on an academic foundation that includes a doctorate and master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University, alongside a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley. His career centers on advancing frontier technologies and scaling hardware innovations across the healthcare, renewable energy, and sustainability markets.
