Vijay Pande

Vijay Pande is a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz leading the firm's Bio+Health fund in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a PhD in Physics from MIT and a BA in Physics from Princeton University, previously serving as the co-founder and CEO of Kurzweil Ventures. Prior to his venture capital career, he held early computational biology roles at Schrodinger and recently published research on AI-driven drug discovery in Nature Biotechnology. Under his leadership, Andreessen Horowitz launched a $750 million Bio+Health fund in 2019 and subsequently raised a $1.2 billion extension for the sector in 2023. His investment portfolio features companies such as Freenome and Genesis Therapeutics, and he joined the board of Recursion Pharmaceuticals in 2022. Pande currently focuses on the intersection of computational biology, artificial intelligence, and therapeutics to advance early-stage biotechnology startups.
