Vidya Raman

Vidya Raman is a Partner at Sorenson Ventures based in Menlo Park, California, where she focuses on early-stage investments in enterprise software and security. Before joining the $110 million AUM venture firm as a Principal in 2020, she led the machine learning platform at Cloudera, scaling it into the fastest-growing product line in the company's history. Her earlier career includes managing product strategies and leading engineering teams at Silver Spring Networks and eMeter, which was subsequently acquired by Siemens. In her current investment capacity, Raman has led funding rounds for startups such as real-time data cloud provider Vendia and firmware security firm NetRise, while also serving on the board of HomeFirst Services. Her current focus centers on partnering with technical founders to achieve product-market fit across the artificial intelligence, analytics, and DevOps sectors.
