Veronica Breckenridge

Veronica Breckenridge is the Founder and Managing Partner of First Bight Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Houston, Texas. Before launching her current firm, she held executive positions at Apple and Tesla, where she scaled Asian sales operations, and served in strategic roles at Motorola and McKinsey. Transitioning to technology investing in 2015, Breckenridge led a private equity firm that deployed approximately $200 million into Silicon Valley startups, contributing to a track record of 34 unicorns and four initial public offerings across more than 300 investments. Through First Bight Ventures, she has backed seven biomanufacturing startups, including Visolis and Industrial Microbes, which recently helped the portfolio secure $70 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Defense. Her current investment strategy focuses on scaling industrial biomanufacturing technologies to transition the global chemical industry toward sustainable, bio-based alternatives.
