Veronica Gambillara Fonck

Veronica Gambillara Fonck is a Partner at Pureos Bioventures based in Zurich, Switzerland, where she focuses on biotechnology investments. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2022, she served as the founder and CEO of GlycoEra, a biotechnology company developing glycoengineered antibodies for autoimmune, oncology, and neurology applications. She also co-founded and led LimmaTech Biologics as CEO, and previously held executive roles at GlycoVaxyn, playing an instrumental part in its 2015 acquisition by GSK. In her current investment capacity, she was appointed Chair of MinervaX in November 2024 and oversees portfolio companies including Citryll, which recently secured an EUR 85 million Series B funding round. Equipped with a PhD in life sciences from EPFL Lausanne, she centers her current focus on advancing bioventures from early-stage spin-offs through strategic acquisitions in the biologics and vaccine sectors.
