Vera Mehler

Vera Mehler is an Investment Manager in the Life Science and Cleantech team at NRW.BANK, based in Cologne, Germany. Prior to joining the NRW.Venture division, she managed the life science portfolio at coparion, where she held multiple advisory board mandates and guided early-stage biotechnology companies through critical growth phases. Her earlier professional background includes specialized scientific roles at ProPharma Group and the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control, bridging the gap between academic research and commercialization. Mehler earned a PhD in stem cell biology and immunology from University College London, alongside a Master of Science in Neuroscience from King’s College London and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Her current venture investment focus centers on advancing early-stage therapeutics, diagnostics, and biomedical engineering innovations from the laboratory to clinical application.
