Venu Shamapant

Venu Shamapant is a Founding Partner at LiveOak Venture Partners in Austin, Texas, where he leads seed and Series A investments for early-stage technology companies across the state. Before co-founding this venture firm, he served as a General Partner at Austin Ventures, investing in startups that generated over $1.5 billion in total enterprise value. His earlier professional career includes roles as an enterprise software consultant at McKinsey and an engineering lead at Mentor Graphics, complemented by an MBA from Harvard Business School. Shamapant has directed capital into numerous successful ventures, backing companies such as LifeSize Communications before its acquisition by Logitech, and participating in a $14 million Series A for Data.world alongside other investments. Additionally, his firm recently raised a $210 million fund to continue supporting regional tech entrepreneurs operating throughout the growing Texas market.
