Venky Karnam

Venky Karnam is a General Partner at Shift Left Ventures, where he leads seed and Series A investments in B2B software and artificial intelligence startups. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, he served in investment leadership at Intel Capital, managing a technology portfolio of over $200 million across more than 20 early-stage companies. His previous venture capital experience includes investment roles at Trinity Ventures and backing notable enterprise technology companies such as Snyk and Netskope. Karnam, who holds an MBA from The Wharton School and engineering degrees from India, recently led an investment in an AI security startup in the first quarter of 2024 and spoke on cybersecurity venture trends at TechCrunch Disrupt 2023. His current investment focus centers primarily on backing early-stage enterprise software, cybersecurity, developer tools, and machine learning infrastructure technologies.
