Vasile Foca

Vasile Foca is the co-founder and Venture Partner at Talis Capital, as well as the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Pirate Studios. With over twenty years of experience operating and scaling fast-growth businesses, he directs the core investment team at Talis Capital, a venture firm that manages approximately $100 million in assets under management and typically deploys $4 million per transaction. His venture portfolio features several prominent technology companies, including the cybersecurity firm Darktrace, artificial intelligence platform Luminance, and financial technology provider iwoca. Foca holds a Master of Business Administration degree from London Business School and completed the Executive Programme in New Technologies at Singularity University. He currently focuses his efforts on executing high-conviction Seed and Series A investments across the cybersecurity, financial technology, and regulatory technology sectors throughout the United States and European markets.
