Varun Patel

Varun Patel is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Artos, an artificial intelligence platform designed for life sciences document drafting. Founded in 2023, the two-person startup participated in the Y Combinator W24 batch and secured $500,000 in pre-seed funding to automate regulatory submissions. Prior to co-founding Artos, Patel worked as a Software Engineer focused on the healthcare and medtech sectors, which included building machine learning mobile applications for dementia caregivers and optimizing insurance infrastructure at UnitedHealthcare. His academic credentials include studying Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago and earning a Master's degree in Translational Medicine through a joint program at UCSF and UC Berkeley. When not biking, hiking, or rock climbing, Patel currently focuses on bridging the gap between software engineering and medicine by deploying artificial intelligence to streamline complex regulatory workflows for life sciences companies.
