Vera Schroeder is a Partner and Investment Committee Member at Safar Partners, a venture capital firm focused on deep tech investments. At the firm, which manages over $1 billion in assets and holds a portfolio of more than 75 companies, she evaluates early-stage technology startups originating from institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and the University of Rochester. Prior to beginning her investment career, Schroeder earned a doctorate in chemistry from MIT, where she conducted research on carbon-nanotube chemical sensing in Professor Tim Swager's laboratory. She also holds bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from RWTH Aachen University and previously completed an internship at the MP Healthcare Venture Management fund.
