Uzay Girit

Uzay Girit is a machine learning researcher based in Paris, France, who specializes in the study of in-context learning and scaling laws. He previously served as a student researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) from June 2020 to January 2023. While completing his academic studies in mathematics and computer science at MIT, he accumulated six years of hands-on software development experience with a specific emphasis on interpreting artificial intelligence systems. His technical work primarily involves building oversight interfaces for AI agents to facilitate improved human-AI collaboration and system transparency. Outside of his professional pursuits, the Paris native is actively involved in writing and rock climbing. Ultimately, Girit focuses his career on advancing AI interpretability and developing robust frameworks for human oversight in complex machine learning environments.
