Umesh Pandya

Umesh Pandya is a Venture Partner at Bethnal Green Ventures and Design Lead for the Fairer Start Mission at Nesta, based in London, United Kingdom. He previously co-founded Wayfindr in 2015, a social technology organization that developed the world's first international standard for audio-based indoor navigation, which was officially adopted by the United Nations in 2017. Pandya holds an MA in Communication Design from Central Saint Martins and concurrently serves as a Design Associate at the UK-based Design Council. Since 2017, he has developed and refined the Social Venture Canvas, a strategic framework utilized to assist early-stage entrepreneurs in structuring businesses that prioritize environmental sustainability and social wellbeing. His current professional focus centers on coaching portfolio founders in design strategy and digital product delivery within the broader impact investing and tech-for-good market sectors.
