Tyler Richards is a General Partner at Startup Ignition Ventures and the co-founder of the Startup Ignition bootcamp program in Provo, Utah. After studying Business Administration at Brigham Young University, he began his entrepreneurial career by founding MatchMate, which was acquired by LikeBright in 2013. Richards subsequently served as Director of Business Development at Tute Genomics from 2013 to 2014 before establishing the coding bootcamp DevMountain. He guided DevMountain to an acquisition in 2016, marking the second of his three multi-million dollar company exits, and later launched the blockchain startup Difuon. Recognized on Peak Venture’s "The Peak 100" and Utah Valley's 2025 "40 Under 40" lists, he leverages his operational background to support emerging technology ventures. His current focus centers on providing capital and hands-on mentorship to early-stage software founders throughout the Mountain West region.
