Tyler Ashby

Tyler Ashby is a Principal at GroundBreak Ventures based in Canada, where he focuses on early-stage venture capital investments and portfolio management. Before assuming his current position, he served as a Senior Associate at the firm and worked as a Senior Venture Manager at the Creative Destruction Lab. In his capacity as an investor, Ashby holds Board Observer roles at 2 technology and sustainability startups, Green Badger and AirWorks. His early career involved technical execution and project management as a Field Engineer and Mechanical Engineer, supported by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. Ashby currently leverages his combined engineering expertise and business acumen to identify and support emerging technology companies in the sustainability sector.
