Tushar Roy

Tushar Roy is a Partner at Square Peg Capital based in Singapore, where he focuses on technology startup investments across the broader Southeast Asian market. He joined the venture capital firm in 2015 and subsequently opened its Singapore office in 2020 to lead regional investments in the financial technology, SaaS, and artificial intelligence sectors. Prior to his career in venture capital, Roy spent over ten years advising technology and growth companies as a lawyer at Baker McKenzie and worked as a management consultant at BCG. He originally began his professional career as a programmer after studying computer science, and he later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD. Today, Roy leverages his multidisciplinary background in corporate law, strategic consulting, and software engineering to identify and support early-stage technology enterprises operating throughout Southeast Asia.
