Tushar Gupta

Tushar Gupta is the Managing Director of North America at Qualcomm Ventures, based in San Diego, California. Before transitioning to venture capital, he spent over 11 years at Qualcomm working as an engineer and product manager. During this tenure, he led business development for connected cameras within the Internet of Things business unit. He holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science. In his current investing role, Gupta focuses on early-stage artificial intelligence and hardware technology startups, leading strategic investments in prominent companies such as HuggingFace, Weights and Biases, WellSaid Labs, and Spot AI. His dual expertise in software development and venture investing drives his current focus on connecting the broader startup ecosystem with Qualcomm's internal business units to create strategic value.
