Turner Novak

Turner Novak is the Founder of Banana Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He launched the firm in January 2021 with $9.99 million in initial commitments to invest in pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds for consumer-facing startups. Previously, Novak served as a General Partner at Gelt Venture Capital, where he managed investing for the firm's second fund, and briefly worked as an investor at Afore Capital. Before entering venture capital, he was an Investment Analyst at the Van Andel Institute from 2015 to 2019, helping manage a $1.6 billion endowment, and founded the real estate investment firm TDN Capital. A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Novak leverages his financial background and an audience of over 170,000 social media followers to source and fund emerging consumer technology companies.
